Fish Fish and More Fish

After our time at South Beach Food&Wine Festival we went on a quick delightful trip to the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas. It was pretty water and perfect sand. The weather was a little chilly for the romantic notions of swimming all day in the crystal blue ocean. But, one day when the weather was cooperating we went fishing! I am not one for the deep sea. I totally wore those Sea Band bracelets. They worked. Or at least they made me a fantastic fisherman. I caught four right off the top! Mainly Pompano, Amberjack and Snapper. Who know this 5'2 little lady from New York would be good with the rod and the line? It was so fun. Our guide was Paul Petty. If you are down in Eleuthera give him a call. Five of us must of caught at least over twenty fish!

I am sure you are wondering what we did with all the fish? We ate it. Grilled, sauteed and froze some for the family we were staying with on the island.

You have any good fishing stories?

  1. Have you ever gotten really stoned and sauteed your little sister's gold fish in some butter with a sprinkle of Mrs. Dash? I have.
